Yesterday I ran out of my normal protein, zero-carb vanilla, so I decided to pick up some Peanut Butter Cereal Milk-flavor protein powder.
I have to tell you guys, it is INSANE. The nutrition profile isn’t quite as good as the Isopure — it’s about 50 more calories and has 8g of carbs as opposed to 0 — but the flavor is AWESOME.
Peanut butter is one of my favorite things on earth, and to have a peanut butter-flavored protein powder that tastes good is definitely a win. It’s not something that I would buy EVERY time because after a while, even the most awesome flavor will get boring after a while, so I think I’ll alternate between something intense like the Ghost with something more “boring” like a plain vanilla — or even unflavored.
Since I follow a Leangains protocol, I eat a lot of protein. Currently I’m eating 1.4g per pound of LEAN body mass, so a protein shake is something that I have EVERY day to hit my minimum protein intake. Along with whole foods like skinless chicken breast, turkey breast, and lean ground beef of course. 😉
