How am I conquering food prep you ask @bodybuildingcom@optimumnutrition ? Well I can tell you what not to do first. When I first began meal prepping I wanted my meals to be simple, no added ingredients or seasoning. The further I got down the road the more I noticed by the 3-4th day I was sick of my meals. On top of being sick of my meals, they were all proportioned differently. After spending hundreds on hundreds of dollars on meal prepping that I would eventually not eat because I was sick of it, a close friend of mine @senecha_pk guided me on what to eat and what not to eat to achieve my goals. I then went and bought a scale and some spices to spice up my life. Now I love my meals. My go to meal is chicken and broccoli with some added hot sauce drizzle after it’s cooked. It honestly never gets old. I do all of my prepping on Sunday before the work week and I prep for 3 days at a time so my food always tastes fresh. At the end of the day, make sure you are eating what you you will enjoy, and if you can’t enjoy it think of a way to spice it up! What motivates me is the adrenaline. I love the way it makes me feel. After a workout or a HITT session I feel energized and great in my body and brain: I am ready to take on the world. Working out is important because it's MY time – I get the headspace to think about what I want to think about. When I'm stressed or super busy, it can be easy to put working out to the bottom of my to-do list, but it actually helps me be more calm and productive when life gets crazy, so that always motivates me to just do it. It's nice to prioritize time for yourself. Last night was a surreal night for me. 1 year ago if you told me I would have lost more than 100 hundred pounds and be competing in a Muay Thai fight I would have laughed at you. Well it happened and then I was presented with this amazing award by my gym. I am truly at a lost for words how much it meant to me.
