🔺Origin: South Mediterranean
This an adult female Oleandee Hawkmoth that can be in Southern Europe, the Mediterranean and far right into South East Asia. Adult moths feed from flowers at night using their long proboscis ("tongue") and hovering above much like a hummingbird.
Young larvae are completely lime-green with no markings but as they grow older, the larvae develop large blue/white/purple eyespot near the head along with a band of blue/white spots that run along the side of the body.
