As small businesses owners, you know social media can help elevate your brand awareness and generate sales but you're busy. So in the interest of keeping your social channels active you post something you think is funny, cute, interesting....and it falls flat, or maybe people respond but since what you shared wasn't actually relevant to your business, nothing more happened. ⠀
What you love on social might not be what your clients like or need. You're miles ahead of them, that's why your product or service is the solution to their need. ⠀
Before scheduling your next batch of social content, take a step or two or three or MORE back, and think about what you can share that will resonate with them. ⠀
And listen well. ⠀
Look in Facebook groups they hang out in and see their questions and responses, notice and read their Instagram posts, check out the posts on Facebook with tons of comments and shares. How can they apply to your business? ⠀
Finally, take note of what is already resonating with your clients on your social channels. What are you currently sharing that makes them say, Me too?!
