Ein einfacher Tipp gegen Knieschmerzen.

Das Knie ist ein dummes Gelenk. Es kann beugen. Es kann strecken. That‘s it. Die Ursache für Knieschmerzen liegen selten am Knie selbst. Es ist lediglich die leid-tragende Struktur. Die Ursache liegt meist woanders.

Eine Ebene tiefer ist das Sprunggelenk. Es gibt ein oberes Sprunggelenk, das eine Reihe von Bewegungen durchführen kann und sollte. Hier mangelt es vielen an Mobilität. An aktiver und passiver Beweglichkeit und Kontrolle. Das untere Sprunggelenk ist oft eingeschränkt in der Stabilität. Das Fußgewölbe ist schwach. Flach. Es kollabiert. Die Füße fallen nach innen...und was passiert dadurch? Die Knie fallen auch nach innen.

Die X-Beine. Eine gefährliche Stellung der Knie. Wofür die Knie selbst aber nicht immer Schuld sind. Achte auf dein Fußgewölbe. Ist es flach und stürzt ein...dann wird das Knie in keiner guten Position sein.

Daher mein Tipp: Training auf Socken oder Barfuß. Das Fußgewölbe muss hier hart arbeiten. Stabilität erschaffen. Kraft generieren. Damit das Knie nicht in eine X-Bein Stellung fällt. Damit das Knie verletzungsfrei bleibt. Gesund und leistungsfähig.

Don’t trust the scales ⚖️ A common mistake for most dieters is to chase weight loss over fat loss. If you think they’re the same thing then you’re very much mistaken.

For you to look the way you want at the end of your diet then you need to be losing fat but there are numerous things that affect your body weight that has nothing to do with fat such as:
🔹 muscle mass
🔹 water retention
🔹 glycogen stores
🔹stomach content

All of these affect your weight as much, if not more than fat. So while they can be a useful tool to track progress, they’re just that... one tool amongst many. Use with tape measurements, progress pictures and how your clothes fit for better tracking.

Tip: Want to get a more accurate reading? Weigh yourself every morning at the same time before food and drink. Take an average weight at the end of the week. Compare your weekly averages against each other rather than daily measurements. This accounts for fluctuations.

I joined the DVCC following a heartbreak

💔 and a knock of confidence. I was skeptical about how I was going to fit in working out alongside shift work, but the early morning sessions proved to fit in to my day nicely (although I'm almost always very grumpy at 6am - I leave 50 minutes later feeling a lot more alive!) My aim initially was to get a "revenge body" but it turns out that I really enjoy the sessions and challenging my body, which is greatly assisted by the motivating and understanding trainers here.

My aim has now changed from that revenge body, into a personal goal to be strong, not skinny.

DVCC is the perfect environment for this and I am so glad that I stumbled across their advert on Facebook! Both the trainers and the sessions have provided me with varied and challenging workouts, and the community of people who attend are non judgemental and equally supportive.

Hello Darkness My Old Friend...🤤💀☠😱😳😵😨😈 Couple snaps of some Matadors today pushing it perfectly on their conditioning.
I took a lil snippet from a seminar post from @musclenerds_health and used an airdyne metcon interval in today's conditioning section.
Hot damn...did it work and work well 😈🤓 We are trying to implement more training, mindset, movements, methods and domains of the CrossFit Open. 😃

Today we created a quick and effective level of fatigue and then set off on some interval stations. Very simple movements but the objective was to regain breath control, and recapture the CNS in these movements to maintain efficiency. 😍😘 My favorite moment, besides everyone just nailing todays objective, was me stopping the class, having them look me in the eyes while I said, "hey...hey...youre fine." Idk if it was the programming, my motivation and instruction or the awesome new aroma in the room 🤣🤔🤔 but it was awesome!
