Last night I was lucky enough to attend a book event at the Hay-on-Wye Winter Festival featuring Owen King! The event was sponsored by @addymanbooks and I went with @dannii.elle.reads and her lovely nan, who stepped in when @bookishsteph1 was no longer able to make it. We did miss you, Steph!
Owen King proved to be an engaging and funny interviewee, with author John Connelly providing the role of interviewer in a straight up and entertaining manner. He didn't shy away from difficult or personal questions and cut straight to the chase by getting to the inevitable Stephen King question. Owen King spoke warmly and highly of his father and discussed how they collaborated together on Sleeping Beauties. He was also frank and candid about writing as a career and juggling writing with everyday life. It was such a fantastic event and I'm delighted to say that Owen King was just as lovely when we got to meet him afterwards to get our books signed! I'm even more excited to read the book now!
Thanks also to Anne and Dannii for sending me some of the photos! 😊

We are so thankful to Fr. Wade Menezes, CPM, for coming in and signing his latest book, “The Four Last Things: A Catechetical Guide to Death, Judgment, Heaven, and Hell.” He did leave some signed copies in the store if you weren’t able to make it to the event!! #booksigning#FathersofMercy#Christmas
Our Bronte can often be found playing in the leaves. When she’s not busy doing that, she writes books. She’ll be at the cafe tomorrow afternoon to sign her books (Fika & Hygge, ScandiKitchen Cookbook, Nørth, Essence of Hygge) - from around 1 pm. You can also find her at the @svenskakyrkanlondon from 11 am at the Christmas fair, also pen at the ready. Pop by, it would be lovely to meet and have a chit chat. #booksigning#signedbook#bronteaurell
