"A book is a microcosm: it is made out of thoughts, emotions, everything human and everything not human. It contains things that don't exist anymore, or that never existed.
But it is the experience of a book that transforms your understanding, a metamorphosis of perception, that shifts with every turn of the page." 📚☕️
Hey guys just wanted to tell you that I've decided to take break from bookstagram as I'm dealing with some personal issues. I won't be posting often, or at all, in the next few days. I hope you understand. Thank you 😊

Happy Thanksgiving, book nerds! We are so appreciative of you and your love for reading because it keeps this community vibrant and alive. Y’all are the best! Now tell us, what books were you most thankful for this year?? 🦃
#12daysofbookstagram#day7challenge is: On my nightstand. Only, I don't have nightstand 🙃. Also, I'm probably the only bibliophile on the planet who doesn't read in bed. How I wish I could! Anyway, this is the stack that WOULD be on my nightstand. #amreading#tbrpile
SO thankful for #bookstagram for a million reasons but most importantly for my favorite person, @ejmellow (and her whole family who I've adopted as my own??) 😭❤️ .
Hope you're all having the best holiday!! 🍂
Once a psych major always a psych major. After decades in marketing I am returning to my roots, reading and writing about personal development. I highly recommend "The Mindful Way through Anxiety" by PhDs Susan M. Orsillo and Lizabeth Roemer. They distinguish between the automatic reactions to fear and the future-oriented stresses of worry and anxiety. Full of illustrative stories the book is accessible and valuable to all regardless of the degree of anxiety being experienced. It teaches practical steps for reorienting your attitude towards anxiety so that you become a partner with it for positive outcomes. I am on page 29 and have already received great value from their research and case studies.
