Esperanza Dance Project – Under the direction of Beth Braun, the Esperanza Dance Project is inspiration and beauty for survivors of sexual abuse and their supporters.

We found this message etched in the sidewalk as we walked to the Stevie Eller Theater ❤️
Hi everyone! Esperanza has recently been working with local schools to prepare for the annual One Billion Rising event. One Billion Rising is a worldwide campaign that strives to empower people around the globe to rise against sexual abuse and injustice. This year, Esperanza plans to perform the traditional One Billion Rising flashmob at Reid Park. Dozens of students and teachers will gather together to bring hope to our Tucson community. We'd love it if you'd join us this Tuesday at 4 PM! #onebillionrising #esperanzadanceproject #hopeinthemidstofdarkness

In 1998, after a woman was raped, the Italian Supreme Court refused to consider the case based on the claim that the women's jeans were too tight. The following day, Italian women in the court house wore tight jeans in protest. Nearly twenty years later, on April 29th, the Denim Day movement advocates against sexual abuse and raises awareness towards the stigma associated with such a topic #denimday #esperanzadanceproject #hope #jeans
